Barney Frank isn’t even campaigning, because he’s going to win. It’s pretty easy to win a state election in Massachusetts if you’re a democrat… except if you are running for Governor (the last 4 Massachusetts Governors were Republicans).
I never thought about this, but if Mitt Romney won the Candidacy for the Republican party (which would never happen), he would probably be one of the only people to not win the state in which he held office before running for President.
Although, a Republican has won Massachusetts before (Reagan, both times!)
