Jobs and Schmidt, whose companies have just ended their love affair, were spotted minutes ago talking business at Calafia in the Town and Country shopping center in Palo Alto.

**Three things:** I think that Gizmodo and others are exaggerating this heated rivalry between Apple and Google. Sure, they’re competitors in many different areas, but the fact is, Google is _still_ the default search engine in Safari and Mobile Safari, Google is still the maps provider on the iPhone and iPad (Google Maps is even part of the SDK), and they are continuing to work together in other ways. I believe that the Apple-Google relationship is one of mutual respect rather bitter rivalry like the Apple-Microsoft relationship.
Oh, and the other two things: That’s an iPad on the table and I’m disturbed that Steve Jobs actually wears that outfit all the time, even when he’s not at work or doing a public appearance…
