So, I’ve been using macs for a long time, a really long time. Most of my computer using experience has been with a mac. I love them, and apple has the best Operating System out there. However, recently I’ve been having some problems.
I’ve had my current computer, a MacBook Pro, for a little while now. I got it when the Santa Rosa macs first came out. Since then it’s been endless problems. Most of them have been dealt with to some degree. However, recently It’s gotten pretty bad.
A few months ago, after Leopard came out, I noticed my drive didn’t work. It decided it didn’t want to take the Leopard disk. Okay, so I went to apple and they popped in a new drive. Problem solved. However, apparently their tech didn’t know what he was doing. I got my new drive, but he didn’t close up the computer correctly, but he did it well enough for me not to notice until now.
Recently I noticed that mac has been making weird noises. These aren’t fan/CPU noises, these are sounds from the metal and plastic shifting on my mac. The metal around my CD drive is bent, outward and down. I haven’t tried, but I have a feeling that putting in a CD would be a little bit difficult. Also, my battery is loose. It seems like it could fall out if I shook the computer. The computer doesn’t close nicely anymore. The lid doesn’t sit flush with the base on its own. So, that sucks.
Also, recently my battery life has gone way down. Like, less than an hour. I don’t know, but that doesn’t seem right to me.
Besides those issues, I the last graphics update caused all sorts of glitching with the OS.
So, all of that combined makes a really shitty user experience.
On top of that, my Apple ID is messed up as well. I keep getting messages saying that my account has been deactivated due to security issues, resetting my password fixes it. However, I just tried to get the new iPhone SDK and I keep getting errors, I think theses issues are related.
So, I’m kind of pissed at Apple.
