I’m fascinated with the idea of naming hardware with themes (most people tend to do this), and I’d love to hear some of your crazy hardware names. In the past, I’ve worked at places who named their hardware after Transformers (my computer was Jazz… how lame!), cities and planets.
I named my first namable Mac (I think you could only name the computers starting with OS 8 or 9) Esteban, which was a lot of fun because I used to use speakable items back then. “Esteban, Tell Me a Joke!” , only do that when you’re alone…
I’ve never been big on naming hardware. My mac is currently named “ben”, My Wireless network is named “Home” (side note: Their is a neighbor with a network called “Fuck You” I don’t want to meet them…) and my iPhone is called Ben’s iPhone. I’m real exciting.
