A new friend of mine just sent me an email that had the following as a signature line:
“this email is: [ ] bloggable [x] ask first [ ] private”
That is really smart. Especially for emailing ME, but as we march onward/drag ourselves toward the blogarrheic future, it will become more and more crucial to delineate correspondence which is private and correspondence which is not.
As anyone who’s ever been friends with a journalist (especially the gossipy ones, cough cough JEFF BERCOVICI & EMILY GOULD) knows, that’s not always 100% clear.
So thanks to Nick for this great idea!
Although I forgot to ask him if I could blog this first. Oops?
I know someone who has the exact same signature (Apparently It’s a different person). Now that I know that he’s not the only person using it, I’ll start using it as well.
