nostrich: We just watched Where The Wild Things Are. It was super awesome, but through the whole film, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much like Seth Green Alexander looked. The voice didn’t sound right (credits revealed it to be Paul Dano), so it seemed odd. And a cursory google hasn’t turned up any evidence that it’s intentional, so what the hell? Someone needs to confirm whether this was intentional or an amazing coincidence. Why does Richard have such a vivid mental image of Seth Green? Also, he actually looks a fair bit like Paul Dano. Apparently they based the monsters off the movements and facial expressions of the actors and what was shown in the book. Alexander looks almost identical to the monster he is based on in the book. Considering that the book is 11 years older than Seth Green, I’m going to say that Seth was based off the monster from the book.
