Review: 4.5 Stars I bought this monitor for my macbook. You should buy this if you own a mac laptop. You don’t realize how much of a difference having a big display makes until you have one. So, I could have bought a dell for a third of what I paid for this, but I’m satisfied with my purchase. I didn’t have to fuck around with mini DisplayPort adapters and it charges my laptop! The speaker is a bit of a joke, it’s basically the same as the one that’s in the iMacs, but good enough for most applications. There is also a camera and a mic, which means you can still do video chats, which I never do anyway. Basically what I’m trying to say is that I spend $400 more on a monitor so I could get the pretty Apple design and the simplest cord set up. Also, I think the apple display is a little bit better (faster refresh) and LED mans backlight is instant-on. I bought it refurbished, so I saved $300. It looks as good as new. OK, I will admit that because I’m neurotic, I noticed some light scratches on the plastic head of the USB cable… but… that’s just because I’m neurotic and it’s nothing I’m going to complain to apple about because the main unit is great (no stuck or dead pixels!). They also forgot the cleaning cloth, which I am currently calling them about.
