Panic Inc. Rooftop
Panic’s Pearl District space in Portland is still my standard for amazing office design. It’s easy to assume their workspace is so awesome purely because Portland’s relatively low cost of living affords them certain luxuries, but really, it has a lot more to do with the fact that as a company they have impeccable taste, a strong sense of humanity, a prodigious facility for whimsy, and a dogged “why the hell not?” streak. I was lucky enough to attend the opening of their offices a few years ago, but it looks like I now need to make another trip west to spend some time on their roof!
This is amazing. It looks like Super Mario.
