Its quite nice

i use a program called flux that adjusts the screen’s color temperature based on the lighting you have in your room and the time of day. the closer it gets to night, the warmer the screen gets, and less harsh on your eyes.

My MacBook Pro does that automatically.

Apple’s notebooks don’t do what Flux does. They adjust the brightness based on ambient light in the room. So, if you’re in a room with no windows and the lights off, they brightness will be low. Flux changes the colors of the screen based on the time of day. It’s nicer than what’s built into the macs because if the screen is too dim, it’s going to be harder to read. If the colors are changed, then it’s going to be easier on your eyes while still being bright enough to read.

I had never heard of flux until Paul mentioned it here. I’m going to try it tonight, because there have been many times I’ve gone to use my computer at 3am and have been blinded.
