Vimeo.
So, I’ve decided to use this site for more than just interviews and I’m calling it “Things.” until I can think of something better. The reason I’m posting… this moring is because I’ve been playing around on Vimeo and I really wanted to write about it. I’m going to interview Jakob Lodwick from Vimeo eventually so you can look for that, I was hoping to have that up this week but he had a conference to go to… or something like that. Until then I thought I’d write a little bit a bout Vimeo because I just managed to pull myself away from it after about an hour of messing around on it.
Vimeo is unlike anyother web based service I’ve ever used. While I have used many video sharing services (and my official service at the moment is Blip.tv) I think Vimeo is unique. The idea is not to share clips of someone elses content like on YouTube, or to post long thought out episodes with scripts and music and editing. No, on Vimeo it’s about candid moments. Those times when you see something that you want to share with loved ones or just anyone who cares to watch.
With that said I leave you with this:
