A nice little app that listens to iTunes and downloads lyrics for your music.
What video game had the best music?
I asked this is #tumblrs. Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and the like don’t count.
How are you not using Dropbox? →
It just saved my ass because I forgot to transfer an important file to my thumb drive…
My Tumblr theme is poorly written.
One day when I care and have absolutely nothing better to do (or when I become Peter Vidani, whichever comes first), I’ll finish it and add what’s missing… like a search box… and tags… and chat posts…
Blog Design and Layout « WordPress Codex →
WordPress’ theme docs are several times longer, but not nearly as helpful as Tumblr’s.
The West Wing
I’m watching all of it. This show was amazing.

No, seriously, he is. Good for him!
Well, apparently Espresso has none of CSSEdit’s features… I don’t know what that developer is thinking…
I’m hearing that Panic’s Coda is really good, but I don’t really want to drop $100 on it just to use the CSS tools. Also, I know that if I buy Coda, I’m going to want to make a Tumblr plugin for it… and I have a feeling that it...
Markdown is awesome.
So, I’ve been using the rich-text editor here on Tumblr for…years (that seems odd to say, but technically it’s true). I just changed it to the markdown editor after discovering how much sense markdown makes. I had to make a README for github, and since github recognizes markdown, I figured that would be the best way to do it. Now I can insert links like I know what I’m...
Tumblr Themes TextMate Bundle 1.1 →
I made an update that adds snippets for booleans, custom text, custom fonts, ect. I also fixed a couple mistakes.
You can download it from GitHub or you can use the GetBundles Plug-in for TextMate to update the bundle.
Articles - The Wikipedia App →
I just bought this app and I love it. It’s missing some features that Wikipanion has, but the overall interface is much nicer (not that Wikipanion is bad). If it gets support for Ogg files and Wiktionary, it will be perfect.
Nerd Joke
me: Someone forked my bundle [on GitHub]. I feel dirty.
inky: wait until they invite you to pull ;o
Gabe Newell, that sneaky... →
The founder and CEO of Valve, Gabe Newell, was at GDC today accepting the Pioneer Award for all of the awesome stuff he and his company has done (see: Portal, Half-Life, Team Fortress, L4D).
He talked about the importance of interacting with your customers and was just about to talk about the new games when…BSOD.
It was, of course, staged, but also a hint that something cool lies ahead....

So, I finally figured out how to use git and GitHub (I’ll be honest, I had to use a Git GUI). Please feel free to fork it and make it better!
I feel like all my posts are about this bundle now… must go find a cute cat video…

Agh! Google switched to a Javascript submit on their SERP search form. Now I can’t command-submit to open in a new tab. :(
didn’t you could do that, and it seems to work just fine for me.

This is a page you might not have noticed. It has a bunch of great web, mobile, and desktop apps that you can use with Tumblr. My TextMate bundle is a recent addition!
(btw, if you’re using the bundle and want to know if I update it, which I probably will, you’ll have to use the Google code site until I wrap my head around github)
raspberrysnow-deactivated201006 asked: Have you thought of making some themes for the dashboard, or even just to have a simple option for changing colours! Just an idea :)

PERSISTING THE MAC PLUTOCRACY, EH? I mean, something that only 20% of us (at most) can use… that’s a bit weak, isn’t it?
Why couldn’t this have been done on a multi-platform tool? It’s worth the extra effort to get that 80-90% extra audience.
I am going to keep saying this until Apple and its community developers stop pulling the same proprietary...

Re: Tumblr Themes TextMate Bundle
I’ve finished version 1.0 of it (I might try to add some stuff besides snippets in the future). You can get it on Google Code, or you can just use this direct download link.
Avatar sucked, right?
I just want to make sure I’m not in the minority by holding this position. Special effects were pretty good, and I suspect that it will win the Academy Award for that (I can’t imagine what would beat it this year). Other than that, it had a terrible script, a tired story, it was too damn long, and the acting wasn’t very good.

Movist, my new media player →
I hate it when things don’t work. Quicktime X already pissed me off by not having any of the export features that Quicktime 7 had. Now it’s not playing nice with Perian… or Perian is not playing nice with it. I’m done, and since VLC looks like it was designed by blind people, I had to go find myself a new media player.
Movist is that player. Not only does it work and have...
