Monitor Died
Not that long ago I bought a refurbished Apple 24” LED Cinema Display. This thing is awesome. It’s one of the best looking displays I’ve ever seen. The contrast is fantastic. And, despite being refurbished, it was in very good condition.
Well, today it died. I’ve never really had any electronic equipment die so abruptly before. Typically there are warning signs, some...

Where has this show been all my life…
I have a feeling 30 Rock was greatly inspired by this… and a bunch of other shows as well…

I did, however, know that Forest Gump was based on a book.

Wow, the LHC did something! These were just warm ups before the more serious collisions in early 2010.
Candy Blog →
This is the best blog on the internet.
Oh crap...
I just realized I didn’t get any candy corn during Halloween. Seriously, it’s the one time of the year I get to regret eating a bag of mellowcreme garbage and I missed it.
I know they sell it year round, but it’s not the same.
*facepalm*
I just heard this headline on TV:
“Is the internet running out of room? Some say that the internet may be running out of addresses. Tune in at 10.”

Wow, reading this gives me a new respect for American Apparel.
I wonder if Put This On could get an interview with him in a future episode. They need about $4000 more before anything can happen though…
I pledged $3… because I’m suspicious that some of the money might get spent on fueling Adam’s cocaine habit.

I love that this exists. All they sell are straps and strap accessories.

Installing Ubuntu on VirtualBox
For whatever reason I feel obligated to check how Ubuntu is doing every six months or so. I’ve liked it in the past, but not nearly enough to ever consider using it as a full time operating system. I think the last version I actually installed on a computer was Ubuntu 7 (I didn’t mean I actually installed it when I checked up on it…), so I’m interested to see how Ubuntu...

Nikon s1000pj Projector Camera →
Gizmodo review Nikon’s s1000pj. Basically it’s an average point and shoot with a projector shoved into it. It’s actually a good idea for a feature, I’d just like to see it in a better camera and at a lower price.
I just finished watching UP
Yes. I cried.
Not sure if it is my favorite Pixar film, but it is incredible.

Weird
I’ve been using the Magic Mouse for a little bit now, and I really love it. The scrolling feature alone makes this mouse great. I’ve become so used to it that the other day I was using a regular Mighty Mouse on someone else’s Mac and found myself sliding my figure over it trying to scroll.
So basically I can never use another mouse.
David Sedaris on the kookaburra in The New Yorker →
I need to start reading the New Yorker, if only to read the occasional story by David Sedaris.
Put This On Review →
Typically, I don’t watch video podcasts. Actually, I’m not a huge fan of video overall. I have a delusion that my time is important, and that having something occupy both my visual and auditory senses for any extended period is not a good use of my time. However, I listen to tons of audio (I subscribe to about 40 podcasts and listen to many of them regularly).
Put This On is the first...
